Garden Club of New Haven Helps Manage Rainwater Runoff

For four years, Garden Club of New Haven studied rainwater management and its environmental impact.  Knowledgeable speakers, educational videos, and field trips to a water treatment plant and overflow sites convinced club members they needed to share what they’d learned.  The brochure educates homeowners about improving water quality in the community and in their own gardens by retaining rainwater on their properties.

The brochure is being used in conjunction with presentations the club is making at local libraries and also will be distributed at New Haven’s Green Expo, Saturday, September 9, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Edgerton Park.
